The High Commission of Pakistan in London hosted an Islamic Calligraphy Exhibition

The High Commission of Pakistan in London hosted an Islamic

Calligraphy Exhibition and interactive session with young contemporary

Pakistani artist Ms. Ayesha Kamal in collaboration with ISP Events and Forum

for International Relations Development (FIRD).

The exhibition was attended by British Parliamentarian, British – Pakistanis,

media representatives and officers of the High Commission.

Acting High Commissioner, Mr. Haseeb bin Aziz, in his remarks appreciated the

depiction of Quranic Verses in unique and attractive style by Ms. Ayesha Kamal

and promoting the Islamic culture abroad. He also thanked the Pakistani

diaspora in taking interest and supporting young Pakistani artists to display

their talent overseas.

During the interactive session moderated by CEO ISP Events Mr. Faisal Shaukat,

discussions were held about the artist’s motivation and inspiration for Islamic

calligraphy, the process of visualizing and painting pieces and the importance

of portraying the rich Islamic culture and art abroad.

Ms. Ayesha Kamal highly appreciated the support provided by Pakistan High

Commission, London for her first ever exhibition in United Kingdom and thanked

the participants for their keen interest in her work.
